About the artist

Picture it: guests have already gathered in the lobby, some are looking for their seat at the table, some are leafing through the evening's program. And then an accordion starts playing from the corner — softly, unobtrusively, over the conversations. Ten minutes later, people stop looking at their phones and start listening.

Lafare is a French music ensemble with vocals, accordion, saxophone, and double bass. The repertoire includes chanson and jazz: hits by Edith Piaf, Dalida, Yves Montand, Charles Aznavour, and other French performers, as well as music from films. The group performs in two modes: concert, when the audience listens, and background — soft, to accompany dinner or a welcome cocktail.

It is this flexibility of format that distinguishes Lafare from purely variety acts: the musicians know how to maintain the atmosphere without pulling attention to themselves, and when needed — to take the lead. The ensemble has its own equipment to meet the venue's technical rider. For restaurants and hotels with ongoing cooperation, discounts apply; payment is by contract with an individual entrepreneur, by bank transfer.
