About the artist

A predictable scenario: a musician with a balalaika walks on stage, guests politely watch for the first two minutes, then reach for their phones. To keep that from happening, the instrument has to sound the way the room doesn't expect — and that's where the difference begins between a number from the repertoire and a full-fledged show.

Dmitry Kalinin is a balalaika player and leader of the show orchestra «Russian Style». Lineups range from a solo balalaika player to a Russian folk instruments orchestra of any size: tailored to the venue, budget, and the evening's goal. All acts are choreographed, with guest involvement in interactive segments. There are several sets of costumes — from pop-rock to Russian folk.

They work wirelessly: each artist has their own radio system and their own sound engineer. For each composition, there is video content for backdrops and projectors — the act looks cohesive on a large screen, not like a concert during a break between toasts. All artists are laureates of international competitions and have performed in Russia and abroad for major holdings and banks.
