Jazz-lounge band “Jazzberry”

It happens like this: the guests have gathered, the buffet is set, and half an hour later someone is already furtively glancing at their watch. It's not the people and not the menu — it's simply that the room lacks a sound that holds attention without interfering with conversation.

“Jazzberry” is a sextet of Gnesin musicians. The soloist is a finalist of the show “The Voice”. The keyboardist is a graduate of the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and a prize-winner of the Montreux Jazz Festival 2017. The saxophonist is a former soloist of Igor Butman's jazz orchestra, and the other members are laureates of jazz competitions. The repertoire includes world hits in jazz and lounge arrangements and traditional jazz: Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sting, Bruno Mars.

Such a band works in the background, not over the guests: lounge arrangements provide the right volume for business conversation, and when the program requires attention, the sextet engages the room without unnecessary announcements.
