Jazz band “Soda of Brass”

Picture this: a banquet hall, guests already seated at their tables, and at that moment, instead of the usual background playlist, a live brass band starts to play. The brass instruments can be heard without microphones, conversations fall silent on their own, and within a couple of minutes someone is already tapping their foot to the beat.

“Soda of Brass” is a brass jazz band that plays jazz, dixieland, soundtracks from films and cartoons, classics, world hits, and cover versions. There is a separate vocal program with pop-jazz singer Varvara Verkhovykh. The ensemble is led by Vadim Nesterov — conductor, teacher at the AMU at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, vice-president of the Mozart Society.

For the organizer, this band makes things easier: the musicians have ready-made programs for corporate events, themed parties, and calendar holidays, and they play at any venue without additional sound equipment. The sound of a live brass group holds the room on its own — from a buffet in a loft to a banquet in a restaurant.
