About the artist

Corporate evenings need live sound not for an extra line in the budget, but so that conversations at the tables stop on their own. People rarely listen closely to background music, but here it's different: the guitarist briefly becomes the thing that holds the focus of the whole room. No shouts of "now all together," no stepping up to the mic with jokes. Just sound.

Esteg is a solo guitar project using live looping technique. One musician records short parts on the fly: first bass, then chords on top, then solo on top, and all this folds into a dense canvas, as if a whole instrumental band is playing. Right at this moment the main thing happens — the audience sees the sound being born before their eyes, not switched on from a laptop. The repertoire includes covers of Sting, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Sade, Coldplay, Zivert, Mikhey and Jumangee, Kino. The delivery fits lounge and instrumental live sound — calm but collected, without unnecessary noise.

On site it looks like this: Esteg sits off to the side with a guitar and pedals, and people at the tables gradually stop looking at their phones. One by one they start recognizing familiar melodies — first by the bass, then by the solo. Someone from the colleagues turns toward the stage, someone films the very process: one guitar, yet it sounds like a full band. By the end of the set, the evening no longer needs an MC with contests — the atmosphere is simply there.
