Picture this: a banquet hall, everyone is already at their tables, someone is finishing reading a toast, and then from the stage, instead of the usual background soundtrack, live French vocals ring out. Conversations fall silent on their own, and a minute later guests start singing along to melodies they know—without even realizing they know them.

E.V.A. is an intimate trio: vocals by Alla Titievskaya, original music by composer Evgeny Slabikov, and arrangements by Vitaly Stepanov. The program includes original compositions set to poems by Catherine Barrault, Galina Kolesnikova, and Alla Titievskaya herself, as well as French songs from the repertoire of Edith Piaf, Lara Fabian, and Zaz. The lineup is minimal and therefore precise: voice, keys, guitar.

It is precisely the intimacy that becomes the main argument. Three instruments do not pressure the hall but converse with it — delicately, with pauses where every word is heard. This is not background for dinner but a separate act that holds attention without special effects or loud backing tracks: live voice, live guitar, original arrangements. This format is equally appropriate in a small hall and on the stage of a corporate evening.
