About the artist

Imagine: a banquet hall, guests have finished eating, the host announces the next segment, and then a man with a guitar walks onto the stage. A minute later, the hall picks up the chorus, someone takes out their phone, and by the end of the song, a circle gathers around the stage. This is often what an evening looks like when the musician is not just 'background' but holds the audience's attention.

Andrey Matveev is a singing guitarist with a higher musical education, and he also plays the balalaika. His program features covers of popular hits in almost any style — from Western rock to Russian pop music and movie soundtracks; there is a separate selection of children's songs. If needed, Andrey can organize performances by ensembles of various line-ups: accordion, violin, balalaika, guitar, saxophone, drums, contrabass balalaika or double bass.

Flexibility of line-up is the main difference. For an intimate presentation, guitar and voice are enough; for a large hall, a full ensemble with saxophone and drums can be assembled, while balalaika or accordion will add a recognizable character to the program. The repertoire is selected for the audience: rock for the informal part of the evening, pop hits for the general crowd, movie music for those who love recognizable melodies.

Andrey works in Moscow. Formats — corporate event, company anniversary, presentation, New Year's party. We calculate the fee for your event: lineup, number of acts, timing and venue. Leave your number — we'll check available dates and quote the fee.
