About the artist

The guests have already gathered, the champagne is poured, but the evening hasn't started yet: people stand in groups, glance at their watches and don't know how to suddenly strike up a conversation with colleagues from the neighboring department. It's precisely in this pause that someone is usually needed to set the tone for the whole event.

Zhu Zhak is a Moscow retro band that works with French chanson, Soviet retro and jazz. The lineup includes vocals, violin, accordion, double bass and percussion — a live ensemble without backing tracks or lip-syncing. The musicians are based in Moscow and travel to other cities.

At the venue, the band solves two tasks at once. For the first hour, they can work in the welcome zone while guests gather and take their seats: quiet accompaniment that makes it easy to mingle and find a seat. Then comes the cover program for the evening, three sets of 30 minutes or two of 40. The accordion and violin in this lineup sound so that the usual banquet hall suddenly resembles a Parisian café, and Soviet songs in a jazz arrangement are picked up even by those who don't like corporate concerts.

Among their notable performances is a presentation for a French furniture company at Red October. Moscow is their base, but the group also travels to other cities. Formats: corporate event, company anniversary, business presentation, New Year's evening; pre-New Year dates are discussed separately.
