Someone is standing by the buffet, someone is scrolling their phone. It's precisely in this pause that people start gathering around the artist's table — first two or three, then a queue.

Vladimir Ivanov draws caricatures right at the event: a guest sits down opposite, a few minutes later takes away a finished portrait and shows it to others. In addition to caricatures, he cuts artistic silhouettes out of paper — a rare old technique and a strong souvenir from a corporate event or company anniversary. He also works off-site: caricatures from photos to order, watercolor or computer graphics, single portraits, group compositions, comics and story sheets for anniversaries, award ceremonies, retirement parties.

The value is that the drawing is about a specific person. The subject is discussed in advance: hobbies, profession, car, favorite fishing — all this goes into the sheet. On site, it looks like a live attraction: while one person poses, the next ones look over their shoulder and discuss how each turned out. Portraits circulate around the hall and work better than any photo zone — they are shown to colleagues, photographed on the phone, taken home.
