Show "Tubeman" (Slinky)

The guests have already taken their seats, the host has cracked a joke, someone has reached for their phone — and at that very moment something corrugated and bright appears in the hall, with neither a face nor any recognizable shape. A minute later it stretches upward, two minutes later it coils into a ring, and the audience stops searching their pockets for their phones.

This is the show "Tubeman" (Slinky). Inside a giant corrugated tube with a colorful ornament, an artist performs, and the act relies not on the costume but on live plasticity: the tube folds, stretches, turns into an animal, then a wave, then an incomprehensible but charming creature. The act runs for six to seven minutes to music.

From about the middle, guests are drawn into the action: the tube approaches the tables, greets people, and leads someone off to dance. In go-go format at a disco, the artist performs for up to eight minutes and keeps the dance floor going without a host. The act has no plot that needs to be tied to a specific holiday — so it is equally easy to place at the start of the evening as a visual surprise or in the middle of the program to switch the audience's attention. There are no age restrictions: adults and children react equally vividly.
