Violinist Nina Taran

Picture it: guests have gathered in the hall, the host hasn't come out yet, everyone is looking at their phones. And then a violinist appears at the entrance to the banquet hall — first alone, then cello and saxophone join in. Conversations fade on their own, because live music in that moment works better than any welcome speech.

Nina Taran is a professional violinist and leader of the instrumental and dance ensemble Vento Music. She plays electric violin and electric cello, and assembles the lineup for the task: from solo to trio and beyond — violins, cello, harp, saxophone, piano, flute. The programs include staged choreography with professional dancers: Russian folk and modern show numbers.

The ensemble arrives with its own sound engineer, so the sound at the venue doesn't have to be put together on the fly — everything is set up in advance. If equipment is insufficient, it can be rented. On stage it looks like a single action: music, movement and light work in one rhythm, rather than existing separately.
