About the artist

Picture this: the guests have already gathered in the lobby, the host hasn't come out yet, and the first minutes of the evening need to be filled with something — so that people don't feel lost with glasses in their hands. This is where live music comes in: while the audience is taking their seats, a quartet or trio has time to set the mood for the whole evening.

Vento Music is an instrumental and dance ensemble led by violinist Nina Taran. The lineups are flexible: solo, duos, trios and others, and the arsenal includes violins, cello, saxophone, piano, harp and flute. There are separate show programs on electric violins and electric cello, as well as a guest welcome. Professional dancers take part in the productions — from Russian folk choreography to contemporary numbers.

On site it looks composed and unhurried: the ensemble arrives with its own sound engineer, so the sound is tuned to the specific hall rather than adjusted on the fly. Live instruments next to the guests work better than a backing track — people listen to them rather than just letting them pass by.
