Sand Theater

Picture this: the guests are already gathered, the host has said the first words, and on the screen, right before everyone's eyes, a city grows out of a handful of sand, then a person's face, then the whole story of the company. The room goes quiet — and that's a silence you rarely hear at corporate events.

Sand Theater is a sand animation company where music, artistic word, and image work together. Each performance is born here and now: the sand under the artist's hands turns into a story, and the word and music carry it further. The company won the international competition «2nd Silk Road & Young Dreams» in Beijing and participated in the programs «Wait for Me» and «Creative Evening of Alexey Rybnikov» on Channel One.

This technique is not about special effects for the sake of effect — it holds attention without loud jokes or interactivity. They have performed at the festivals «Red Square», «Golden Vityaz», «Tavrida», «Tradition», at the venues of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, the World Trade Center «Congress Hall», the ZIL Cultural Center, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and «Yantar Hall» in Kaliningrad. They work both indoors and outdoors, including with a live orchestra — a format that fits well into an evening with orchestral accompaniment.
