About the artist

Picture it: a banquet hall, guests already at the table, someone checking their phone, someone waiting for the "official part" to finally begin. And this is where the host decides everything. How he holds the room in the first ten minutes determines whether people will laugh at the contests or patiently wait for the hot course.

Kukota and Chekhov is a comedy duo of Mikhail Kukota and Igor Chekhov. Their journey began on TNT: Comedy Club, 'Smekh bez pravil', 'Uboynaya liga', 'Comedy Battle', 'Tochka Yu', 'Ne spat'. They performed in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Israel, took part in Channel One's parody show 'Bolshaya raznitsa', and appeared on the Edinburgh Fringe stage.

Their format is not just emceeing between toasts. It is hosting built on improvisation and live reactions to the room, plus the option to add a separate comedy block. On site it looks like this: the hosts quickly read the audience, pick up lines from the room, and hold attention without pauses, and between official moments they include numbers that don't feel like filler acts.

They work across Russia and abroad. They take on corporate events, company anniversaries, presentations and New Year's evenings. Leave your number — we'll check available dates and quote the fee.
