Swing & Soul Project

At the end of the year the team gathers for a festive evening, and the music needs to not drown out conversations while also not turning the hall into a dining room. A familiar task: background that keeps the mood going but doesn't require guests to dance on command.

Swing & Soul Project is a jazz cover project formed by musicians from the DDT band. Roman Nevelev plays bass guitar in DDT and Terminator-Trio, two-time winner of the Bassist of the Year award. Anton Vishnyakov is a jazz trombonist, teacher at the Mussorgsky College, winner of the Triumph of Jazz competition 2007 and trombonist of DDT. The repertoire includes bossa nova, swing, samba and funk.

The lineup is flexible: other musicians are invited for the performance, so the program can be tailored to the venue and seating. On a corporate stage, it looks like a live ensemble that leads the evening from cocktail to dancing, not like a playlist from a speaker.
