Flamenco de San Petersburgo

A corporate event where, after the official part, guests don't know what to do with their hands — a familiar picture. Someone is scrolling their phone by the buffet table, someone is discussing the quarterly report. Spanish guitar and castanets change the scene in a couple of minutes: the conversation fades, heads turn to the stage.

Flamenco de San Petersburgo is a Saint Petersburg ensemble where dance, guitar, vocals, and violin work together. The program features choreography from light and lively to dramatic, bright costumes and accessories: castanets, Manila shawl, cane, fan. The musical part ranges from Paco de Lucía to Gipsy Kings, vocals from traditional flamenco to Spanish pop music. The lineup is selected for the event, and the program is adapted to the format and duration.

The ensemble stands out for its readiness to involve guests in the action: a mini-master class on dance and palmas is possible, where the audience learns the rhythm together with the artists. For the venue, the ensemble has its own set of sound equipment and a folding dance floor — the technical part does not turn into a separate logistical task. The participants are laureates of the «Virtuosos of Guitar» competitions and the All-Russian Diego del Gastor Flamenco Guitar Competition, have participated in the festivals «Viva, España», «Flamencura», «La plata», and have professional education.
