«Staraya Gvardiya» is a Saint Petersburg duo: Sergey Lyashko (vocals, guitar) and Vyacheslav Shapoval (vocals, keyboards). They play foreign «golden» hits in their own arrangements. The repertoire is based on music from the sixties to nineties: European, American, and Asian artists, alongside domestic hits of the same years. The arrangements are designed so that the song sounds fresh but is recognized from the first bars — the audience always understands that they are listening to that very song.

On site, the duo works without unnecessary approvals: the band arrives with their own equipment and handles the sound themselves, so standard equipment is not required. For special projects and tours, the lineup expands — female vocalists and instrumentalists are added. The musicians have performed at Saint Petersburg venues and have extensive international experience — Finland, Sweden, Japan.
