Cover band "The Others"

Imagine: a banquet hall, guests have already relaxed, someone is finishing their coffee, and then from the stage, instead of the usual "disco" set, a jazz standard starts to play — live, with improvisation. That is exactly how the cover band "Other" switches the room's attention from conversations to music.

This is a project from Saint Petersburg, where every member is a graduate of the city conservatory: Mariam Mikaelyan and Stepan Osipov on vocals (Stepan also plays guitar), Yuri Zhukov on keyboards, Kirill Ryaguzov on bass and double bass, Ilya Pavlov on drums. The band works in two directions — a cover program and original songs. At concerts and TV broadcasts, the musicians play only live, without backing tracks.

The repertoire includes Russian and foreign hits, lounge and soul, jazz standards with improvisations, as well as their own Russian-language material. The band has separate costumes for each style, and the look can be changed right during the performance — for example, start the evening with an intimate set and move to a denser sound for dancing.
