Saxophonist Gdaliy Garmiza

Guests gather in the lobby, some are still looking for their seats in the hall, some are flipping through the evening's program. And then a saxophone starts playing from the corner — softly, unobtrusively, but in such a way that conversations naturally become quieter. The welcome area stops being just a corridor to the banquet.

Gdaliy Garmiza is a professional saxophonist from Saint Petersburg, performing in the city and Leningrad Oblast. His repertoire includes foreign pop classics by Sting, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, George Michael, hits of the 2010s–2020s, classical and modern jazz in smooth, fusion, and funk styles, Latin and bossa nova. Separately, there is club saxophone over a track when dancefloor energy is needed, and a saxophone interactive game 'Guess the Melody' where guests join in the game.

At the venue, Gdaliy handles several tasks of the evening at once: background music during the welcome cocktail, musical pauses between program blocks, solo and dance compositions closer to the dancing. One instrument without an unnecessary stage and technical fuss — yet live sound that holds the audience's attention and does not overpower conversations in the hall.
