About the artist

Picture it: guests have gathered in the lobby, some are still looking for their seat, some are greeting colleagues from another department, and at that moment the live sound of a saxophone rises above the conversation. Not speakers with a playlist, but a person who sees the room and adapts the music to what is happening in it.

Gleb Teplov is a St. Petersburg saxophonist. He plays solo or in a duo: with a female vocalist, male vocalist, or pianist. His repertoire includes romantic and smooth jazz, bossa nova, rock and roll, foreign and domestic hits — from calm background to dance versions of familiar songs. Among the venues where he has performed are the Ice Palace with the band Chai Vdvoem, the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall, Smolny Palace, the concert hall of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library, the Great Concert Hall of the House of Officers, the Repin Russian Academy of Arts, and the Stieglitz Academy. He performs regularly in the hall of Mariental Castle in Pavlovsk.

Gleb covers the entire evening end to end: he greets guests at the welcome, keeps light music playing during the meal, and gets people dancing when the moment calls for it. He arrives with his own set of equipment — saxophone, speakers, microphone, mixer and sound processing; there is no need to coordinate a separate sound rider. All the organizer has to do is show where the power outlet is, and then not worry about the stage.
