Violin duo "Strings of Petersburg"

When all the toasts have been made at a corporate event and guests are glancing at their watches, it's not another contest that saves the day, but music that people listen to with bated breath. Violins can gather the room around the stage as reliably as a good speaker.

"Strings of Petersburg" is a duo of virtuoso violinists and composers Igor Zalivalov and Sofia Bridge. They combine classical traditions with rock drive, add jazz and ethnic vocals and instrumental improvisations. The duo performs headline concerts in Russia, Europe and Asia, has been creating music for the "Scarlet Sails" celebration turnkey since 2016, and has also performed with Goran Bregović, Sting, Svetlana Surganova and David Goloshchekin. In 2023, the musicians became invited artists of Slava Polunin's "Yellow Mill" festival in Paris.

On stage, it feels like a live concert rather than background music: the violins carry the theme, the vocals pick it up, and improvisation shifts the mood from strict classical to rock and jazz. Co-creators of the show "Classics in the Dark" and laureates of international competitions, they know how to hold the audience's attention and adapt the program to the moment of the evening.
