Ludowig String Quartet

When voices are still buzzing in the hall and guests are finding their seats while the host checks the microphone, the first sound of the string quartet quietly draws everyone's attention. The lights are not yet dimmed, no one has asked for silence — yet conversations fade on their own, because a live violin sounds different from a playlist on speakers.

Ludowig is a string quartet from Saint Petersburg, playing for over seven years. All members are graduates of the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg Conservatory. The program includes both popular melodies and classics: the ensemble can perform as background music or as a concert — depending on what is happening in the hall.

This flexibility is their strength. At a cocktail reception, the quartet does not overpower conversations but supports them; when the official part begins, the musicians come to the forefront and hold the stage.
