String Quartet “Primavera”

Imagine: guests are just gathering in the hall, finding their seats, greeting one another, and at that moment the space is already sounding — four string instruments carry a quiet theme, and conversations naturally become calmer. Such a start to the evening sets the tone for the whole event, and not every group can do this without unnecessary noise and equipment.

String Quartet “Primavera” — a women's ensemble from Petersburg, playing together since 1999. The members are graduates and postgraduate students of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, with performances not only in their hometown but also in other regions of Russia and abroad. The repertoire is curated to suit any mood of the evening: classical pieces from various eras, jazz themes, film music, and their own arrangements of popular melodies.

The quartet is equally confident in two modes — as light background music at a guest reception, buffet, or exhibition opening, and as a full concert program on stage. A separate story is arranging a specific melody for an event, when the room needs to hear exactly the theme that means something to the guest of honor or to the company. The sound is acoustic, with minimal equipment; in a small hall the ensemble does without amplification at all.
