A banquet hall for two hundred people, guests are already at their tables, and an animator in a costume is walking between the tables — and for some reason the evening just isn't coming together. A familiar story: there's a program, but no mood. What usually saves the day isn't the show segment, but a person with a microphone who makes everyone fall silent at the very first sentence.

Max Cole is a jazz vocalist working in the premium segment. His repertoire includes hits by Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, plus modern jazz and soul: Fly Me To The Moon, Power of Love, Lady In Red, My Way, Unknown (To You), Just Once. There are separate welcome and farewell programs — for guests' arrival and the final toast. He can perform solo or in a duet with a female vocalist.

On stage it looks restrained and to the point: without excessive pathos, without shouting over the room. He holds attention with his voice, not volume, and it's convenient to both negotiate and raise a glass to his performance. At some point the audience starts singing along — usually to My Way and Lady In Red.
