Picture it: guests are already at their tables, some are discussing quarterly plans, some are scrolling their phones. And then guitar sounds from the stage, followed by a voice singing in Italian. Conversations fall silent on their own. For a corporate event, this kind of opening works better than any host with contests.

Nicola Como is an Italian singer, guitarist and host, living in Saint Petersburg since 2013. Born in Sicily in 1980, he has been playing acoustic and electric guitar since the age of 13, writes songs in Italian and Sicilian. For ten years he toured Italy with the band Matticata, participated in festivals, including "Sanremo Rock". In 2016 he founded the project La sonata — classics of Italian pop music in jazz and blues arrangements: Modugno, Carosone, Paoli, Tenco, Celentano, Buscaglione, Mina, Murelo.

On stage it looks like this: live vocals and guitar without backing tracks, familiar melodies in an unusual rendition. Since 2019, Nicola has been hosting his own themed evenings, Cala la pasta, where music meets Italian cuisine and an entertainment program; he works regularly with St. Petersburg's Italian restaurants — Ripasso, Perbacco — and at private events. If needed, he takes on full turnkey organization: artists, catering, decorations, sound and lighting, venue sourcing, including in Italy.
