About the venue

The Znamensky Brothers Olympic Center is a historic athletics arena and stadium in Sokolniki, on Stromynka Street. City and industry sports festivals are held here, and the atmosphere of the place itself sets a sporting tone: lanes, sectors, stands. The venue is entirely about movement and records, not banquet halls.

The indoor arena is 4,123.6 m² with Recro Monolit surface: four circular lanes of 200 meters, eight lanes of 60 meters, stands for 670 seats and sectors for shot put, high jump, pole vault and long jump. In summer, a 14,356 m² stadium opens: six circular lanes of 400 meters, eight lanes of 100 meters, lawn, stands for 100 and 400 seats, throwing sectors. There is also a 209 m² dance hall with two changing rooms. Catering — off-site catering.

The arena is chosen when the sports festival should not depend on the weather — it accommodates up to 700 guests. The stadium is suitable for summer formats: Health Day, relay races, GTO tests, athletics, throwing and jumping. The dance hall is useful for warm-ups, ceremonies or small program blocks.
