Athletics Indoor Arena

In Tyumen, at 12 Lunacharsky Street, there is an athletics arena — an indoor arena of 138×60×10 m where competitions go on in any weather. A spacious 8,000 m² hall with high ceilings and stands for 500 seats sets a sporty, focused rhythm: everything here is subordinate to movement, starts and the stopwatch.

Inside: a 200 m circular track with six lanes, 100 m and 60 m straights, sectors for long jump, high jump, pole vault and throwing, 16×20 m areas for gymnastics and cheerleading, and equipment for GTO fitness standards. There is a judges’ stand, a sound room and commentator booths. Nearby are a warm-up hall, a climbing wall with bouldering, lead and speed, and a gym. Under the arena there is an underground parking for 308 cars, an open lot for 39 cars and 8 bus spaces.

The venue suits corporate spartakiads, track-and-field and GTO tournaments, competitions between departments, team starts and award ceremonies — commentator booths and a sound room make it possible to run the broadcast and announce results. A climbing wall and warm-up hall add formats: relays, team challenges and separate tournaments.
