About the artist

When the banquet is already in full swing, but guests are still holding on to their glasses and phones, the room lacks just one thing — a reason to put both down. That is exactly the moment when people in lab coats appear between the tables, and a minute later half the room turns toward them, chairs and all.

“Laboratory X” is a science show where experiments are presented as entertainment, not as a lesson. The hosts freeze objects in a couple of seconds, make snow in the middle of the room, lift into the air what shouldn't fly, and launch clouds of icy fog right between the tables. The experiments are interactive: guests are invited into the frame, given props and a role.

On site it looks like this: respectable viewers with glasses first watch from a distance, but about ten minutes later they come closer to the hosts and are already holding the props themselves. The program is tailored to the size of the room and the number of guests, so a dense flow of events doesn't turn into a crush, and each experiment has its own place in the space.

The formats are selected to suit the purpose of the evening: a short cryo show to open the venue, a separate ice show, a large forty-five-minute block with a full program, a nitrogen bar and liquid nitrogen ice cream prepared for guests on site. Such a block is appropriate for a corporate event, a company anniversary, a presentation and a New Year's party. They work in St. Petersburg and the region.
