PosleSlov Physical Theatre

We've gathered an international team in the room, set up simultaneous interpretation — and half the evening goes into getting everyone in sync. There's a format that needs no interpreter at all: physical theatre, where meaning is conveyed through the body, rhythm and space.

PosleSlov is Alena Ageeva's physical theatre. The company has participated in international festivals Fringe (Edinburgh) and En Chair et En Son (Paris), and worked in the art residency program at Cité des Arts. The troupe combines different directions of contemporary physical theatre, experiments with new technologies and creates a program for a specific event rather than bringing the same act.

On stage, it looks like precise work with body and space: minimum words, maximum expressiveness, so the performance is equally understood by any audience — from colleagues in the Moscow office to foreign partners. Among the theatre's clients are Rostelecom, the city administrations of Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow, and the Boulevard of Arts festival.
