A drum roll at the start of a conference — and the hall that was lazily settling into their seats a minute ago suddenly perks up. Applause follows, and now the mood is completely different: the business audience is tuned in to listen. This is often how forums begin, where it is important for the hall to engage in the first minutes, not by the third presentation.

DRUMBEAT is a St. Petersburg drum show that has been performing for over 11 years. They have performed at the Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall, the St. Petersburg SCC, Lenexpo, the Mariinsky Theatre, the Gorky Palace of Culture, the Music Hall, and the Yubileyny Sports Palace. International experience includes the Salutes of Brest festival in France in 2012, the Dubai Shopping Festival in the UAE in 2013, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in 2017, and Happy Valley Beijing in 2018. The group performs at corporate forums and conferences, government receptions, city celebrations, and festivals.

The show has several costume programmes, and the visual changes from number to number: formal uniforms for the official part, striking looks for the evening block. The drummers hold the rhythm and the space: the sound reaches the back rows, so the show works both in a large hall and on an open-air stage, where it is especially hard to capture the audience's attention.
