ESG and sustainability speaker Elena Kovaleva

The ESG agenda requires clear decisions rather than declarations: companies need to consider legal risks, prepare non-financial reporting, and link sustainable development to business responsibility.

Elena Kovaleva is a partner at the Moscow consulting firm Legal principles, head of litigation practice, and curator of projects in the field of sustainable development. She is a member of the Association of Lawyers of Russia and the Association of Managers, and is part of the working group on declaration and reporting for SMEs.

In her presentation, Elena discusses ESG and sustainable development in the legal business, legal risks of the ESG agenda, non-financial reporting, and corporate social responsibility. She shares practices for developing ESG initiatives in the legal market, including the work of the "Sustainable Legal Business" award.

Elena speaks in a presentation format or moderates a discussion. At the XIV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, she moderated a session on ESG in the legal market with representatives from the bar, universities, and major law firms.
