About the artist

Gathering two hundred people in a hall who came with different expectations and holding their attention until the final toast is a task for a corporate event host. Some expect informal interaction, others — an official part without unnecessary fuss, and management wants the evening not to turn into an amateur talent show.

David Anakhasyan is a graduate of Saint Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, Department of Directing Theatrical Performances and Celebrations, where he studied in the class of Professor A. I. Berezin. From 2008 to 2018, he worked as a director of theatrical performances at the Izhorsky Cultural and Leisure Center. He hosts city government and commercial celebrations. He performed the anthem at the Olympic flame welcome ceremony during the torch relay stage of the XXII Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Saint Petersburg, became a laureate of the All-Russian competition of original patriotic songs "I Love You, Russia" in 2016, and is a member of the jury of theater competitions in Petersburg.

Behind the directing experience lies the ability to build the evening as a single, cohesive action rather than a set of contests between artist performances. David works with a professional DJ and lighting master — the sound and visuals at the venue are subordinated to the script, not the other way around. He assembles the program for a specific company: in some settings a ceremonial tone is appropriate, in others — a lively dialogue with the audience and musical numbers.
