Catherine Palace — 'Hall on the Island' Pavilion

The Pavilion 'Hall on the Island' stands on an island in the middle of the Big Pond in Catherine Park of Tsarskoye Selo, 15 km from Saint Petersburg. Guests arrive here by ferry — during the seven or eleven minute journey, the Chesme Column, the Marble Bridge, and the Turkish Bath float past. In the evening, the island is illuminated, and the venue turns into a separate world in the middle of the water.

The hall with an area of about 316 m² accommodates 150 guests at a banquet and 200 at a buffet, theater seating — 200 seats. There is an elevated stage and a grand piano. Restaurant service, a cargo ferry is provided for delivery of equipment and decorations. Guests leave their cars in the paid parking lot at the palace, entrance from Orangereynaya Street.

The format with a crossing itself sets the tone for the event: it is worth going here for ceremonies, gala dinners, theatrical evenings and receptions where intimacy and the effect of a separate space are important. The stage and grand piano come in handy if the program includes live music, an award ceremony or a performance, and the capacity of up to 200 people is suitable for both a banquet and a buffet.
