About the venue

The Winter Garden is a historic hall of the Astoria hotel, a five-star Rocco Forte hotel opposite Saint Isaac's Cathedral. Its highlight is a lace-like glass ceiling with stained glass: by day the hall is flooded with light, and greenery and white columns make it resemble an old Petersburg greenhouse.

The area is 170 m². The hall holds up to 150 guests for a banquet and the same for a cocktail, 120 people theater-style, 80 classroom-style and 40 in a U-shape. In front of the hall is a spacious foyer with a separate street entrance, and there is wired and wireless internet. The "Winter Garden" combines with the Ballroom, and together with the banquet foyer this is a space for receptions of up to 450 guests.

The hall is loved for weddings, gala dinners and anniversaries, but it also suits business breakfasts, press conferences and presentations. The hotel kitchen serves banquets, buffets and coffee breaks. Guests can stay at the Astoria or the neighboring Angleterre, with the Admiralteyskaya metro nearby.
