Conference interpreter Vera Koldaeva

An international conference, and half the room is wearing headphones, catching the meaning on the fly — and whether the partners understand each other depends on the quality of the interpretation. This is where you see who's in the booth.

Vera Koldaeva is an English interpreter from Moscow. She works in the booth in simultaneous and whispered interpreting, provides consecutive interpreting at negotiations, does voice-over and dubbing. She graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University with a degree in Linguistics and Interpreting (English and Norwegian), completed a simultaneous interpreting course at the Sinchron-Plus school under the guidance of P. R. Palazhchenko, and a course 'Dubbing: Introduction to the Profession' by Gelena Pirogova.

Her experience includes venues where mistakes are not an option: Moscow Urban Forum, World Cities Forum, BRICS and EAEU forums, Skolkovo StartUp Village, Open Innovations forum, Moscow International Forum 'Culture'. She has interpreted for the Federation Council, the State Duma, the Moscow City Government, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Moscow Department of Transport, as well as at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Moscow Fashion Week, and for Twentieth Century Fox. On site, it looks calm: the speaker speaks at their own pace, and the same idea is heard in English in the headphones — without pauses or catching up.

Vera takes full charge of organizing simultaneous interpretation: she selects a booth partner and equipment, and if needed brings in colleagues for other languages. Moscow. She works at corporate events, company anniversaries, presentations, and New Year's parties with international guests. Leave your number — we'll check available dates and quote the fee.
